FPD TO CELEBRATE 150th IN 2008

Having served citizens of Frederick since 1858, the Frederick Police Department will observe its 150th Anniversary in 2008 and plans are underway to commemorate this milestone with various activities throughout next year.

Retirees of the agency, former employees, and family members of late retirees are urged to contact the Department at 301-600-2718 so they may be included in the festivities. Pictures, stories, and memorabilia in any form are being sought so as to be included in displays and presentations. Anyone wishing to loan materials to the Department during the anniversary year should contact Genia Smith, in the Office of the Chief, at 301-600-2718 or gsmith@fredco-md.net.
