The
goal of the Technical Services Bureau is to implement
and maintain those technological systems that address
communications, and data recording, transferal and
retrieval, critically essential services in modern
city policing. Its responsibilities focus on command
and control of the Department’s technological applications
which include management of the Department’s computer
network, mobile data computers, wire line and non-wire
line telephone networks, paging networks, and voice
and data radio networks.
The
Bureau contains three components, the Communications
Section, the Records Section, and the Crime Scene
Unit.
