Re: Plan
Review Fee Increases
Dear Town Planners:
The
Frederick County Commissioners voted on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 to increase
the fees for the Frederick County Health Department. Health Department plan review fees were instituted in 1994 and
have not been revised since. The fee
increases were in keeping with the time spent in reviewing plans, records
research and conducting site visits.
A
schedule of the new fees is enclosed for your information. The revised fees became
effective as of October 14, 2003.
Please notify your clients of these changes.
Ag Cluster Plans $50.
Sketch/Concept Plans $50.
Residential Cluster Plans $50.
Preliminary Plans $75
Combined Prelim/Final $100
Final Plats $75.
Addition Plats $50.
Farm Lot Plats $50.
Public Taking Plats $50.
Health Department Commercial Site Plans $50.
The Health Department reviews preliminary and final
plats, correction or consolidation plats, and any plat that will have a
signature block on it for approval.
Addition plats can be reviewed by the Health Department, but since a
signature block is not required, only comments will be provided. Also, the Health Department commercial
site plan is submitted for review when a change of a site is proposed. Contact David Gatrell at 301-631-3157 if you
have any questions on commercial site plans.
If a plat is being submitted for final approval with
the mylar’s and revisions have been required, have the surveyor provide one
paper copy of the correction with the mylar’s.
When
submitting any plat for review, have your client make the check out to the Frederick
County Health Department. A return
receipt will be mailed to them but please make sure they know that a return address
will be required. Please include on
each plat the project number assigned and the name of the town submitting. This will help in the process of reviewing
the plat and reviewing it quicker.
Advise your clients that once the Health Department has received the
plat normal review time are 15 days.
If you have any questions, please contact me at
301-631-3162.
Sincerely,
Paul J. Offutt, R.S., Program Manager
