Q. How long can I let my grass grow?
A. 10 inches. (code)

Q. How many yard sales are allowed in a year?
A. A person may have four (4) yard sales per year each lasting a max of 3 days. (code)

Q. Can I store an unlicensed vehicle on my land?
A. No, not without the use of a car cover (not a tarp) and a maximum of two covered vehicles are allowed. (code)

Q. How many dogs/cats can I have on my property?
A. Currently, Frederick City does not regulate the number of animals. Citizens are encouraged to be mindful of their neighbors, Too many dogs or cats can sometimes be a nuisance through barking, odors or destruction of property. (code)

Q. Can I post yard sale signs on traffic control devices and light poles?
A. No, city code strictly prohibits this. Annual maintenance to remove tape and glue can be costly to taxpayers. (code)

Q. When do I have to shovel snow?
A. Owners in possesion of property must shovel their sidewalks within 6 hours after it has ceased falling. (code)

Q. Whose responsiblity is it to repair the sidewalk in front of my home or business?
A. Owners of adjacent properties are responsible for all repairs. (code)

Q. Who is responsible for trimming trees and shrubs that hang into or over a roadway or sidewalk?
A. It is the property owners responsbility (code).
