The
following (SIX) Point Safety and Health Program
is designed to assure that the goal of the Office of
Occupational Safety and Health is attained:
I.
Organization and Administration City Policy and Procedures,
government required and elective. Policy and Procedures
provide the foundation upon which the program is elevated.
II.
Hazard Control Hazard Identification and Evaluation
through Audits, Surveys and Inspections.
III.Training
Government required or elective, a key element in every
successful organization, in any successful loss control
program is effective job orientation and safety training.
IV.Industrial
Hygiene Government required or elective, the environment
we work in may pose a hazard to the worker. The Industrial
Hygiene Program through the use of MSDS and on-site
evaluations assist in the identification of those atmospheres
and or environments that may pose a threat to our employees.
V.
Record keeping The thermostat of our Safety and Health
Program. A method by which Government required or elected
statistical data is used to ascertain areas of risk
or concern which will direct or redirect our energies
appropriately to assist in attaining our goal.
VI.
Motivation The ABC’s of our Safety and Health Program.
Creating an Attitude that produces the desired Safety
Related Behaviors to assist us in Controlling our losses
= an attainable Goal!!!!!
