DUI CHECKPOINT
On Thursday July 03, 2008 the Frederick Police Department along with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Department conducted DUI Checkpoints in the 400 block of West Seventh Street and the 700 block of North Market Street. These checkpoints were conducted in cooperation with the Frederick County Highway Safety Task Force under Checkpoint Strikeforce.
During the operation of the checkpoints, approximately 770 vehicle drivers were contacted and provided information pamphlets provided through Checkpoint Strikeforce about the risks of driving impaired.
There were no arrests made by members of the checkpoint during this operation.
The Frederick Police Department and their partners want to remind everyone that driving impaired or riding with someone who is impaired is simply not worth the risk. Don’t risk your freedom, your career, your license, or your life this July 4th weekend. Designate your sober driver before the party begins.
