COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES
Last night (11/08/07 at approximately 2330hrs.) members of the Patrol Division of the Frederick Police Department arrested a suspect after the commission of two commercial burglaries. The felonies took place on the western side of Frederick in the Route 40 corridor at Bill Watson’s Original Carryout and Golden Mile Liquors, both located at 50 N. McCain Drive.
The Department is also focused on a recent series of commercial burglaries on the eastern side of Frederick City along East Street and on Church and South Streets in close proximity to East Street. These burglaries took place over night into early morning hours, with the suspect or suspects usually prying doors or windows to gain access and then taking cash registers or moneybags.
In many cases, criminal apprehension and subsequent crime suppression depends on the relationship and communication between citizens and police. Please be observant. If you notice a suspicious situation, vehicle, and/or person, please call the police. We need each citizen’s help to sustain the high quality of life we enjoy in Frederick.
If you have any information concerning these or other burglaries, please call the Frederick Police Department at 301 600-2100.
