Summary:
On
Saturday October 2 2003 the In The Streets Celebration will be held in
Frederick City. The Frederick Police
Department would like to inform it’s citizens of the pending street closures
and placement of no parking signs.
N
Market St will be closed to all traffic on 10/02/04, from All Saints St to 7th
St from 7:00 am to approximately 6:30 pm.
Traffic will be allowed to cross over N. Market St at Patrick St and at
7th St (with officer assistance).
There will be no access to the first blocks of all streets between All
Saints and 7th St (both East
and West side) during these times.
Additionally,
due to the Market Street Mile and the In the Street Parade, Market St. will be
closed from approximately 8:00 am to 12:00 pm from 7th. Street to
East St. Streets crossing Market St. from Motter Ave. and East St. will be
open.
The
city will be placing “No Parking” signs at the below listed locations.
A. Both sides of the entrance to the East Patrick Street parking lot
(6 spaces).
B. Both sides of Market Street between All Saints and Seventh
Streets.
C. Both sides of North Market Street between Seventh and Fifteenth
Streets (“No Parking 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m”).
E. North side of first block of West Patrick Street.
F. The first four (4) spaces on the north side of the first block
of East Patrick Street (“shuttle buses only”).
G. Both sides of Church Street between Maxwell Avenue and North
Bentz Street.
H. On all spaces in Market Space.
I. Both sides of Second Street between Maxwell Avenue and Dulaney
Avenue.
J. Both sides of Memorial Parkway between Calvary Drive and West
Second Street.
K. Both sides of Third Street between Maxwell Avenue and North
Court Street.
L.
All
metered spaces in the Old Town Tavern parking lot in the 300 block of North
Market Street.
M. Both sides of Fourth Street between Maxwell Avenue and
Klineharts Alley.
N. Both sides of Fifth Street between Maxwell Avenue and Klineharts
Alley.
O. Both sides of Eighth Street between Maxwell Avenue and North
Market Street.
P.
Both
sides of Record Street, between Council Street and West Church Street (“No
Parking 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.”).
Q.
Both
sides of the first block E and W 6th St.
R.
All
parking spaces on Motter Alley to the rear of Beth Shalom Church (“No Parking
Reserved for Beth Shalom Parking Only”).
All vehicles must be removed prior to the listed
times to ensure the smooth and successful completion of this highly anticipated
event.
Handicap parking will be available in the parking
lot of the M & T Bank on N Court St.
Sufficient parking will be available around the
event and at city parking decks.
Please be reminded that according to Frederick City
Code 3-26.2 pets are not allowed at City sponsored events. Those who bring their pets to the event will
be asked to take them home and or face a fine of $100.00.
