September 9, 2006 - Theft

  • At Weis Market on Old Camp Road/Alternate Rt. 40, on Thursday, September 9, 2006, a woman's purse was stolen. Taken was a black, rectangular-shaped purse, a lady's wallet, and cash. The suspect, approximately 5'10", 180 lbs., left the market on foot, heading towards Old Camp Road.

April 26, 2006 - Armed Robbery

  • Armed Robbery City Buffet Restaurant, April 26, 2006, 9:30 PM, Wednesday Evening

    The Frederick Police Department is conducting an investigation into an armed robbery and shooting that occurred this evening at the City Buffet Restaurant. The initial call for this offense was received at 9:20 PM.

    The initial investigation has revealed that a lone male suspect entered the restaurant, confronted a female employee who was at the cash register, obtained currency from the cash register and fled the restaurant on foot. As the suspect ran from the business, the female employee chased him. Running toward McCain Drive, at some point during this incident, the suspect fired at the female, striking her once in the abdomen. The suspect continued to flee on foot, last seen running behind the Roy Rogers Restaurant.

    The victim has been flown to University of Maryland, Shock Trauma where she underwent surgery. She is currently hospitalized in "critical but stable" condition. Her injury is not considered to be life threatening.

    The suspect is described as an African American Male, with a tall, thin build.

March 4, 2006 - Robbery

  • On Saturday, March 4, 2006, the Latino Market, located at 10 Hillcrest Drive, was robbed by a single black male, approximately 5'- 07", thin build, wearing a mask and dark clothing. The robber brandished a handgun and demanded money from a female cashier. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled via the front door and then on foot in the direction of the rear of the building.

January 15, 2006 - Stabbing

  • Early Sunday morning, January 15, 2006, at approximately 0300 hours, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the Country Hill Apartment complex at 1000 Heather Ridge Drive for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers located a subject who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim and several unknown assailants had become involved in a verbal altercation following their return to the complex from a local nightclub. The verbal altercation escalated, resulting in the victim being stabbed. The other subjects fled the area prior to police arrival.

    The Frederick Police Department is looking to identify three subjects from the incident. The three are described as follows:

    Black male 5-07/ 225lbs., light skin, thin beard, wearing white t-shirt, jeans and Timberland Boots;
    Black male 6-04/270 lbs., wearing a gray sweat suit;
    Black male 5-06/165 lbs., missing numerous teeth, wearing black clothing.

January 12, 2006 - Shooting Investigation

  • On 01/12/06 at approximately 2:03AM, officers were dispatched to the area of N. Market St. and 6th St. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrivial officers observed numerous subjects fleeing the area. Minutes after the initial response, Frederick Memorial Hospital reported a gunshot victim. Investigation revealed the victim was shot once in the abdomen shortly after leaving the Uptown Sports Bar. The wound was determined not to be life threatening and the victim was released from the hospital following treatment. August 24, 1992 - Missing Person

  • The Frederick Police Department needs your help. We seek information as to the locations and associates of William Walter Brooks at the time of his disappearance in August 1992. Anyone with information concerning the disappearance of William Walter Brooks is asked to contact Detective Alston at 301-600-1269.

October 31, 2005 - Theft

  • The Frederick Police Department seeks the public's help in identifying this person. The picture was taken on August 23, 2005, at 10:57 am at the Sheetz convenience store at 1600 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, Maryland. October 21, 2005 - Armed Robbery

  • The Frederick Police Department is seeking information concerning the armed robbery of the American Women's Services clinic at 801 Tollhouse Road on Saturday, October 15, 2005, at approximately 8:00 pm. The suspect demanded cash at gunpoint. He is described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, and brown hair. He wore a white button front shirt, dark or black pants, and black frame glasses. If you have any information concerning this robbery, please contact Detective Morgan at 301-600-1259.

April 23, 2005 - Shooting

  • The Frederick Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that was reported this evening at approximately 9:30 PM.

    A thirty-year old male was driven by friends to Frederick Memorial Hospital from a residence in the 300 block of Madison Street. At the hospital it was determined that the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. The Victim was flown to University of Maryland, Shock Trauma by Trooper 3.

    No additional information is being released regarding this shooting until further investigation is conducted. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

April 4, 2005

  • Bank Robbery:

    The Frederick Police Department is releasing a series of surveillance photographs in the continuing investigation of robbery of the Chessie Federal Credit Union. This offense occurred on the morning of Saturday, April 2, 2005.

    The suspect has been described as an A/A Male, approximately 6-03, moustache and goatee, as well a noticeable gap in his front teeth, dressed in a black bandanna w. white specks, black shirt and trousers.

    If anyone recognizes the person contained in these photographs, he/she is asked to contact either the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-2100 or the FBI at 410-265-8080.

         

January 3, 2005

  • Shooting:
    At 0345 in the morning of January 1, 2005, Officers responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Country Hill Apartments, 1000 Heather Ridge Dr.

    When officers arrived they found two victims who apparently received gunshot wounds. One victim was flown to Washington County Hospital for a leg wound. The other victim, who received a minor injury to his leg, refused medical treatment at the scene. If any has information regarding this incident please contact Detective Levine at 301-600-1238.

December 31, 2004

  • Assault
    At 1140 PM on 12/31/04, officers responded to Hill Street Park at 100 Hill St. for a report of a subject injured form an assault. Witnesses advised that the victim was riding a bicycle through the park when he was chased down by approximately five black males. The suspects assaulted the victim and then fled. The victim was flown to Washington County Hospital for treatment for his injuries. If anyone has information regarding this incident please contact Officer First Class Joe Hayer at 301-600-1265.
  • First Degree Assault
    At 0127 hours on January 1, 2005 an officer was dispatched to a fight in progress in front of 7 West Patrick Street. While en route the officer observed the fight culminate with the suspect striking the victim's head with a bottle with sufficient force to break the bottle. The victim sustained severe head injuries. The suspect fled the area but was later identified as a light skinned black male. Anyone with information concerning this investigation should contact Det. Levine at 301-600-1238 or Det. March 13, 2002 - Forced Rape

  • The Frederick Police Department continues to investigate a forced rape that took place on March 13, 2002, at approximately 5:30 P.M. at 172 Thomas Johnson Drive. The victim, a woman in her 40's, was returning to her office after running errands. The suspect followed her to the office entrance and forced her into the unoccupied office.
    During the commission of the crime, the suspect held a knife or other sharp weapon on the victim's throat.
    The suspect is described as a six foot tall man with a dark complexion (race unknown) and a deep, raspy voice.

April 22, 2002 - BANK ROBBERY

  • The Frederick Police Department and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Provident Bank. The original call was recieved at 12:03 PM, the caller providing information that a subject was inside the bank with a teller had produced a note announcing the robbery.

    The initial investigation has established that a lone male suspect entered the bank and approached a teller requesting to enter his safety deposit box. The teller accompanied the suspect into the vault at which time the suspect produced a note that stated he was armed with explosives. After obtaining a quantity of currency, the suspect left the bank. No mode or direction of travel is know of.

    The suspect is described as follows:

    WHITE MALE IN HIS FORTIES

    FACIAL HAIR

    TALLER THAN 6'0

    MEDIUM BUILD

    DRESSED IN A STRAW HAT, WAIST-LENGTH JACKET, MAROON PLAID SHIRT AND TROUSERS.
