· Sediment and Erosion Control Ordinance
This ordinance applies to all grading occurring within the City of Frederick and establishes minimum requirements and procedures to control the adverse impacts associated with accelerated soil erosion

· Stormwater Management Ordinance
This ordinance applies to all development within the City of Frederick and establishes minimum requirements for reducing the adverse impacts of increased stormwater runoff created by changes in land use by requiring construction of appropriate stormwater management facilities.

· Industrial Pretreatment Ordinance
This ordinance provides for regulation of direct and indirect contributors to the City of Frederick wastewater system through the issuance of permits to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the City wastewater system which will interfere with the operation of the system or contaminate the resulting sludge and to prevent pollutants which will pass through the system inadequately treated into receiving waters or the atmosphere.

· Floodplain Management Ordinance
This ordinance provides protection of human life and health, minimize property damage, encourage appropriate construction practices to minimize future damage, protect individuals from unwittingly buying land subject to flood hazards, and to protect water supply, sanitary sewage disposal and natural drainage. This protection is achieved through the review of all activities proposed within identified floodplains and by the issuance of permits for those activities that comply with the objectives of the ordinance.

Water and Sewer Master Plan
The master plan provides an assessment of the condition, capabilities and adequacy of the existing facilities under current conditions and provides the basis for identifying and sequencing improvements to the systems as necessary to address current needs and provide adequate service into the future.
