Schedule for Submission of Project Proposals & Adoption

of the Annual Action Plan

Grant Year 2008 (July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009)

1. Public Notice of Request for Proposals published, NACs and interested organizations notified on January 13, 2008.

2. Sponsors of projects must meet with the Department to review National Objective/Eligible Activity compliance, administrative, record keeping, reporting, monitoring, and timeliness requirements. A CDBG Basics meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Please confirm your attendance by Tuesday, January 22^nd.

3. Completed applications/proposals are due by 12:00pm Friday, February 22, 2008.

4. Ad Hoc Advisory Committee will hold public meetings to review and hear public comments on all proposed activities:

· Tuesday, March 4, 2008 @ 10:00am – Municipal Office Annex

· Wednesday, March 5, 2008 @ 7:00 P.M. – City Hall – Board Room

5. Ad Hoc Advisory Committee meets to recommend activities for 2008 Annual Action Plan.

6. Draft 2008 CDBG Annual Action Plan will be available for public review and comment on or about Friday, March 14, 2008. The period for written public comment on the recommended plan will extend from March 14, 2007 to April 14, 2007.

· Mayor and Board of Alderman public hearing to receive comments Thursday April 17, 2008 @ 7:00 PM City Hall.

7. Target date for adoption by the Mayor and Alderman is Thursday, May 1, 2008 @ 7:00 PM City Hall.
