

The Frederick Community Action Agency is seeking
donations to support its various programs that assist people who are low-income
or homeless. Please consider making a
donation or organizing a collection drive.
The items needed include:
Health Care Clinic needs personal hygiene supplies and childcare items such
as shampoo, towels, washcloths, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrushes,
toothpaste, disposable diapers, and baby food.
Frederick Foodbank needs non-perishable foods such as canned fruits and
vegetables, canned meats and fishes, juices and drinks, pasta products, canned
soups, rice and other staples. Frozen
foods such as meats and vegetables are also accepted.
Frederick Soup
Kitchen needs institutional-sized
canned foods (#10 cans) such as fruits, vegetables, and meats; and, prepared
foods that may be leftover from parties and banquets.
Frederick
Transitional Shelter for Homeless Families needs sheets for twin beds, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, pajamas
for adults and children, bathrobes for adults and children, and disposable
pampers.
Volunteers are currently needed to assist with Foodbank operations
or helping with serving and cleaning-up in the Soup Kitchen. For information about volunteer opportunities
