CELEBRATE 25 YEARS OF IN THE STREET ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5TH AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6th!

Frederick’s biggest and best block party is celebrating its 25th birthday with more music, more fun and more activities than ever before! Festivities begin early this year with LIGHT THE CREEK, a brand new event on Carroll Creek Linear Park featuring food, beer and wine and a performance by The Deanna Bogart Band, on Friday, October 5th. The fun continues on Saturday, October 6th, with a day-long celebration of food, music and fun, taking place right in the heart of downtown Frederick – along Market Street from All Saints Street to Seventh Street, and along the Carroll Creek Linear Park. Featuring a runners’ road race, a spectacular parade, eight themed blocks packed with family fun, including an entire block featuring Frederick County artisans, fabulous food, five stages of live entertainment, and a dance on top of the Carroll Creek Parking Deck, this year, and every year, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Following is a schedule of events:

Friday, October 5th
6:00 – 9:00 P.M. - LIGHT THE CREEK
Don’t wait until Saturday to start celebrating the 25th Anniversary of IN THE STREET! Join us Friday evening for a brand new event featuring beer and wine, food and a live performance by boogie and blues group, The Deanna Bogart Band. Remember to bring your wallets, there will also be an opportunity to support one of twelve local non-profits based right here in Frederick County. Purchase a floating luminary on behalf of one of the pre-approved non-profits and launch it in to the Creek. Before the night is over, one luminary will be randomly selected. The lucky non-profit it was purchased on behalf of will walk away with all of the proceeds from the luminary sales!
