CITY WORK GROUP TO REVIEW LAND MANAGEMENT CODE

Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick is currently seeking interested city residents to be part of a work group created to review the current City of Frederick Land Management Code (LMC). The focus of this work group will be to review the evolution of the LMC and make recommendations for possible changes and updates to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

The Land Management Code (LMC), adopted by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on July 21, 2005 as Appendix A to the City Code of Ordinances, is a compilation of regulations that govern the use and development of land in the City. The LMC covers the areas of zoning, subdivision, forest conservation, floodplain management, soil erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, and water and sewer allocation.
