Frederick, Md. -- The City of Frederick Department of Planning proudly announces the completion of the newly rehabilitated single family home at 527 North Market Street for sale. To celebrate, the City of Frederick will host an Open House & Tour on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 1:00pm. There will be an additional showing that evening from 6-8pm. The public is invited to attend.

Funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development, this historic property has been restored and updated to address the City’s affordable housing needs and will offer one lucky family the opportunity of homeownership.

Dating back to circa 1600, 527 North Market Street was originally a one-story log cabin with a second story added in the 1800’s. The structure has been completely modernized with an addition to the rear of structure including a new kitchen and off street parking

Interested buyers must meet income eligibility guidelines, be a first time homebuyer and attend a mandatory pre-application meeting on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Municipal Office Annex, 140 West Patrick Street, at 6 pm.
