GRAY WATER USED BY CITY PARKS DIVISION
Frederick, MD -- Please be advised that the City of Frederick Parks Division is using recycled (gray) water to water the lawn in front of City Hall. The water is obtained from the City’s Waste Water Treatment Plant. The recycled (gray) water from the Waste Water Treatment Plant is the same source that is used for the complete irrigation system at the Clustered Spires Golf Course. The opportunity to have a golf course situated close in proximity to a waste water treatment plant is a model that is used by many cities across the United States.
For additional information, please contact Roelkey Myers, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, at 301.600.1902.
