DEPLOYMENT CEREMONY TO BE HELD IN BAKER PARK

Parking Restrictions & Road Closure Will Be In Effect

FREDERICK, MD ---- The Maryland National Guard will be holding a special Deployment Ceremony at the Baker Park Bandshell on Friday, May 25, 2007 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon prior to their scheduled deployment to Iraq.

In preparation for this event, the following restrictions will be in place around the Baker Park area. West 2nd Street between Bentz Street and College Avenue will be closed to all traffic during this time.

In addition, the parking lanes of the following streets will be reserved for this event:

· Carroll Parkway from Bentz Street to College Avenue

· College Avenue from Carroll Parkway to West 2nd Street

· West 2nd Street from College Avenue to Bentz Street

· 200 block of North Bentz

· Memorial Parkway

The Deployment Ceremony is open to the public.
