OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP SCHEDULED FOR AMBER MEADOWS AREA
Frederick, MD --- Five Code Enforcement Officers for the City of Frederick will be canvassing Neighborhood Advisory Council 3 (NAC 3) in the Amber Meadows area, on Thursday, May 17, 2007 as part of Operation Clean Sweep.
The City of Frederick Department of Code Enforcement has begun Operation Clean Sweep, an initiative that will comprehensively address quality of life issues within neighborhoods in the City of Frederick. Code Enforcement officers will work one to two days in designated NAC (Neighborhood Advisory Council) area canvassing properties for violations of certain ordinances including height of grass and weeds, disposal of trash/rubbish, abandon motor vehicles and property maintenance issues. Property owners that are cited for violations will have up to 5 days to cut grass or remove trash, up to 10 days to register a vehicle and up to 30 days to complete any needed home repairs.
This is the second of twelve scheduled Operation Clean Sweeps which will occur every two weeks on Thursdays. For additional information, please call the Department of Code Enforcement at 301.600.3825.
