ROADWAY WIDENING TO OCCUR ON ROSEMONT AVENUE
Frederick, Md. ---. The roadway widening project for Rosemont Avenue between Grant Place and Wilson Place is scheduled to begin Thursday, March 22, 2007 and continue until completed. The City of Frederick Street Maintenance Department will be excavating to establish the new curb line. The City’s concrete contractor will place new curb & gutter as well as ADA ramps. Once the curb & gutter is in place The City’s paving contractor will begin to remove material from the area between the old curb and the new. They will rebuild the area using GAB (graded aggregate base stone). Upon rebuilding the area for a road base the paving contractor will place the base layers of asphalt and the binder layer. The final objective for this project is to mill the existing surface area of Rosemont Avenue and install a topping layer of asphalt over the old drive area and the newly constructed lane.
