CITY OF FREDERICK SEEKS TO FILL VACANCY ON AIRPORT COMMISSION
Frederick, Md. --- The Frederick Municipal Airport Commission is currently seeking applicants interested in filling the position of “Citizen Representative”. This position is one of seven voting seats on the Airport Commission Board, which meets on the fourth Thursday of each month with regular attendance being mandatory. All candidates applying for the position should have or be able to perform the following minimum qualifications:
· This representative shall not hold a pilot’s license and shall not have any pecuniary interest in the Airport or with any organization doing business with the Airport.
· Be a citizen of the City of Frederick or live within three (3) miles of the Frederick Municipal Airport in Frederick County.
· Be committed to attend regular meetings
· Be committed to attend special meetings from time to time.
· Be committed to comply and uphold Federal Aviation Administration, Maryland Aviation Administration Regulations where applicable.
· Be committed to comply and uphold Frederick Municipal Airport Rules and Regulations and minimum Operating Standards
· Be committed to promote the airport for the economic development and benefit of the airport, the City of Frederick and Frederick County, Maryland
· Have knowledge and experience in airport policy issues and aviation regulatory matters.
· Abide by policy and procedures established for the Airport Commission.
