MUSIC

MAIN STAGE
Carillon Area of the park near tennis courts
1:30 p.m.
Fools and Horses: Combining the best of classic rock with new British pop, Fools and Horses has become the Mid-Atlantic music scene’s newest craze! Their original sound and strong
lyrics won the group an opening gig for Bon Jovi at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. Their big break landed them on Fox TV and CNN, and won them an ever-growing legion of fans.
Slated to be heard this year on MTV, Fools and Horses is continuing to earn critical acclaim, including being named ‘Best Modern Rock Band’ and ‘Most Likely to Succeed’ in Music Monthly Magazine’s Annual Reader’s Poll.

3:15 p.m.
Freddie Long Band: “A t-shirt and jeans blend of pop, rock, soul and honesty,” The Freddie Long Band formed in the summer of 2005 and has been turning heads, and ears, ever since. The four piece pop/rock group has fast become a staple in the Mid-Atlantic music scene, touring clubs and festivals, and sharing the bill with regional favorites Jah Works, Mary Ann Redmond, Scott Ambush and more. The group just released their first album, Strangers and Brothers, a collection of twelve original songs ranging from upbeat/high-energy pop/rock to yearning, acoustic ballads.

5:15 p.m.
Blue Oyster Cult: From a motley group of musicians in Upstate New York, to a
rock and roll powerhouse boasting platinum records and hit singles, Blue Öyster Cult has earned a spot in the top ranks of rock and roll history. Fans of Blue Öyster Cult have been loyal for over thirty years, helping push songs such as Don’t Fear the Reaper and Burnin’ For You up the Billboard charts. Once a ‘best kept secret’ of rock and roll aficionados, the group gained widespread appeal in 1975 with their first gold album, Agents of Fortune. The prolific group has gone on to produce over twenty live and studio albums, and to tour throughout the world, including the widely popular ‘Black and Blue Tour’ in 1980. Alternating top billing with heavy metal contemporary Black Sabbath, the tour was a huge success for the two heavy hitters. While known for powerful, collaborative songwriting, the group is also heralded as one of the best performing bands in rock and roll. With over three decades experience performing together, Blue Öyster Cult sounds better than ever and continues to be a prime example of rock and roll at its best.

COUNTRY STAGE
Southwest side of Swimming Pool
2:00 p.m.
The Cabalero Band
Opening up the Country Stage is The Cabalero Band! Make sure to visit the Country Stage area offering great country music all day long.

4:30 p.m.
Jamie Fox: Born and raised in Maryland, Jaime Fox moved to Nashville in 1999. As a unique artist in the country market, she combines the sounds of Nashville with adult contemporary rock, which is something in between pop rock and country. In 2005, she decided to take a risk and recorded her first album on her own. In addition she co-wrote four songs on her album released in 2006, including the track Crossing Over. She also used the opportunity to write with some of Nashville’s rising stars, such as song-writer Bruce Wallace, and singer-songwriter Mary Ann Redmond, of Washington D.C.

7:00 p.m.
Mark Wills: After five years of chart-topping hit singles and achieving platinum status, Mark Wills has taken his vocal talents to a new level of maturity and creative solidity. The Academy of Country Music’s “Top New Male vocalist” of 1999, demonstrates with insight, ease and elegance that he is just getting started. In 2001, Wills released his fourth CD, Loving Every Minute, which included a duet with label mate Jamie O’Neil. Additionally, this album shows his natural ability to tell a story with his voice. His Greatest Hits followed in 2002, featuring the huge radio hit 19 Somethin’. He released the album And the Crowd Goes Wild in 2003 and in 2005 “Live at Billy Bob’s Texas.”
