WATER MAIN AND SERVICE REPLACEMENT TO CONTINUE ON EAST PATRICK STREET

Frederick, MD -- Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue performing water service replacements on East Patrick Street between the intersections of Franklin Street and Monroe Street. The work during this time will begin on Sunday evening, June 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and continue with a mixture of night work (7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.) and daytime work (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) through Thursday night. Traffic control will include lane closures and flagging operations as necessary.

IMPACT TO AREA:

1. Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for daytime operations and between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for night work operations.
2. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
3. Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
