CODE ENFORCEMENT ANNOUNCES THE ONGOING RESULTS OF OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP

Frederick, Md. -- The City of Frederick Code Enforcement Department has announced the completion of the fourth “Operation Clean Sweep.” Code Enforcement personnel conducted Operation Clean Sweep in the NAC 1 area on June 14, 2007 converging on areas bordered by Yellow Springs Road and Rocky Springs Road including Whittier, Walnut Ridge and Old Farm. As a result of the sweep, officers handed out 17 Notices of Violations covering 4 different code violations with breakdown as follows: 14 violations for grass exceeding ten inches; 1violation for filth and rubbish; 1 violation for unlicensed or inoperable vehicles; and 1 city code violation for sign advertising.
