CLASSIC ROCK BAND TRANZFUSION
TO PLAY THE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES ON JUNE 17th

The Summer Concert Series Committee of Celebrate Frederick, Inc. and 106.9 The Eagle presents classic rock band Tranzfusion on June 17th as part of the 2007 Summer Concert Series in Baker Park. The free concert will begin at 7pm in the Baker Park Bandshell, Frederick, Maryland. This band is sure to play all the classic rock hits you remember and originals you won’t forget!

Tranzfusion is a five-member band and twenty-year veterans of the east coast rock scene, showing no signs of slowing down. The band puts the emphasis on passion and authenticity and performs great music with excellence. Tranzfusion recreates classic hits from the Beatles, the Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, the Doors, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin, among others. The core of the band, with over two decades of experience, includes keyboardist Bob Davis, guitarist Hank Koenig, drummer Bobby Malaby, and bassist Tom Malaby. In 2004, guitarist / bassist Josh Davis joined the band, bringing contemporary influences such as R.E.M. and the White Stripes, while adding a solid textural backdrop to Koenig's soaring leads. The band's latest album, due in Summer 2007, features 15 original songs penned by 28-year-old Davis. If you love great live music, this band is a must see!

Prepare to arrive early with your blanket or lawn chair to enjoy a free Carillon performance in Baker Park beginning at 6 pm. Great snack foods will be available from 6pm to 8:30pm during the Summer Concert Series performance.

While the concerts are FREE to the public, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank. Items will be collected at the Drees Homes Information Booth, located at the top of the Bandshell steps in Baker Park.
