UPDATE - ROADWAY STRIPING WORK SCHEDULED FOR ROSEMONT AVENUE
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick contractor, TCMS, will begin laying out the area for new pavement markings on the section of Rosemont Avenue between Grant Place and Lee Place. This work will begin at 7:00 PM on Sunday August 5th and should be completed sometime after midnight on Monday, August 6th, 2007. Once the new traffic pattern has been laid out the contractor will begin to install hot-applied thermoplastic pavement marking to create the traffic pattern and incorporate the newly constructed westbound lane. They will also be eradicating some existing marking on the eastbound lanes to meet the new configuration.
For additional information, please contact, Department of Public Works, at 301.600.1440.
IMPACT TO AREA:
There will be periodic lane closures to afford the contractor a safe work environment. The westbound section will maintain two lanes of traffic at all times. The eastbound section will be affected with a reduction of one lane while they install the eastbound marking. The operation will be moving quickly and the temporary traffic patterns will change periodically with the completion of each lane. The City’s Light & Signal Department will be on site to make necessary adjustment to the overhead signage as well as the traffic signals. The Department of Public Works / Operations apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause but the finished produce will alleviate some of the traffic congestion in the affected area.
