MAYOR CALLS FOR VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION
Frederick, MD – Due to the continuing dry weather conditions, Mayor William J. Holtzinger is officially requesting all residents of the City of Frederick limit unnecessary water usage such as watering lawns, washing cars, etc. If the dry weather conditions continue, it may be necessary to put mandatory water use restrictions in place. During this period of dry weather, the City will work closely with Frederick County to ensure adequate water supply is available to residents.

VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION IN CITY
Frederick, MD -- Mayor Holtzinger would like to clarify that the voluntary water ban in the City of Frederick is not intended for commercial car wash facilities. Recycled water is often used by these commercial businesses.
Mayor Holtzinger is requesting all residents of the City of Frederick limit unnecessary water usage such as watering lawns, washing cars, etc. and to use their best judgment to limit unnecessary bulk water usage. Please use recycle (gray) water when possible to water plants, gardens etc.
