CODE ENFORCEMENT ANNOUNCES THE ONGOING RESULTS OF OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick Code Enforcement Department has announced the completion of the sixth “Operation Clean Sweep.” Code Enforcement personnel conducted Operation Clean Sweep in the NAC 10 area on July 12th, 2007 converging on areas bordered by S. Jefferson St (east of), W. South St. (south of), S. Market St.(west of) and North of Rt 70. As a result of the sweep, officers handed out 89 Notices of Violations covering 110 different violations. Breakdown as follows: 6 violations for Property Maintenance; 50 violations for filth and rubbish; 14 violations for grass and weeds; 36 violations for unlicensed or inoperable vehicles; 1 for zoning violations and 3 other misc. city code violations
