A NIGHT OF LAUGHS GALORE AT THE WEINBERG CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Frederick, Md. -- The Weinberg Center for the Arts is pleased to present a special evening of family fun featuring the silent movie era’s greatest comedians on Tuesday, July 24th. Ray Brubacher will accompany the selected silent shorts on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, students and children.
The four films are: "Cops" and "One Week" featuring Buster Keaton, "Two Tars" featuring Laurel and Hardy, and "Get Out and Get Under" featuring Harold Lloyd. Each film lasts approximately 20 minutes, and there will be one intermission.
Some of the classic cars in the movies will be on display at the Court Street parking deck before the show. The exhibit will contain 30 – 40 cars dating back to 1927 and earlier, and is courtesy of the Sugarloaf Mountain Region chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The exhibit is part of a tour the club is sponsoring throughout Frederick.
