MAYOR CALLS FOR CLOSED SESSION TO PRECEDE PUBLIC MEETING

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor William J. Holtzinger has requested a Closed Session to precede the scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 5:30 PM. Mayor Holtzinger will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a Closed Session. This action is in accordance with the authority

granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(1)(i) to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction; Section 10-508(a)(3) to consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto, and Section 10-508(a)(7) to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matter.

Mayor Holtzinger will entertain a motion to this effect at 5:30 PM and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
