ONE-STOP-SHOP PERMITTING PROCESS TO CHANGE SCHEDULE
Frederick, MD --- In an effort to make the One-Stop-Shop Permitting process even more accessible to patrons, the operating days will soon change. Presently the process is available on Mondays and Thursdays but beginning Tuesday, March 20, 2007, the One-Stop-Shop Permitting Process will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hours of operation will remain from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Roger Twigg, Building Department Manager for the City of Frederick, stated “This new process has been a great success. Since December 4, 2006, we have processed more than one hundred forty (140) permits through our new One-Stop-Shop. However, since many of the holidays occur on Mondays, it will make the process more accessible to our patrons if we change our schedule to Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
The One-Stop-Shop Permitting process was established to provide same day permitting enabling a patron to walk in with a plan and walk out with a permit. This process applies to certain types of permits. A list of qualifying permits is available at the Information desk at the Municipal Annex Building located at 140 West Patrick Street adjacent to the West Patrick Street Parking Deck.
