CITY OF FREDERICK SEEKS TO FILL VACANCIES
ON COMMISSIONS
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick
is currently seeking applicants interested in filling
positions on the Personnel Board and the Zoning Board
of Appeals.
The Personnel Board advises the Mayor,
Board of Aldermen and the Manager of Human Resources
on all problems concerning personnel administration,
makes investigations concerning the administration
of personnel in municipal service, and hears appeals
in cases of employee suspension, demotion, or removal.
Members of the Personnel Commission serve a term of
six (6) years and meet on an as needed basis.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets the
4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Members of this
Board are required to attend daytime field trips as
needed. Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals are
paid $25.00 per meeting for their service. The Zoning
Board of Appeals has the authority to hear and determine
appeals from refusal of building permits and/or use
of land, to hear appeals where an error in the application
of the zoning ordinances and regulations is charged
and to hear permits exceptions to or variations from
the zoning ordinance or regulations in accordance
with the zoning ordinance or regulations. This appointment
is for a three year term.
