GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY IN BAKER PARK ON AUGUST 12, 2007

The Summer Concert Series Committee of Celebrate Frederick, Inc. and COMSTAR Federal Credit Union present the classic rock sound of Great Train Robbery.
The classic rock sounds of Great Train Robbery have been entertaining audiences along the East Coast for more the two decades. GTR has released seven albums, performed more that 4,000 shows and has shared the stage with many top rock bands including the Allman Brothers, 38 Special, Kansas, Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Guess Who, Charlie Daniels, BTO, Molly Hatchet and Blue Oyster Cult.
Great Train Robbery includes Rick Tehansky on keyboards and percussion; Dwayne Adams performs on drums and percussion; Dave Capozzoli, founding member and main songwriter, sings vocals and plays the bass, Jake Lambert on guitar and vocals and guitarist and vocalist Jeff Coulson.
Prepare to arrive early with your blanket or lawn chair to enjoy a free Carillon performance in Baker Park beginning at 6:00 p.m. Food will be available from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This evening’s Carillon performance will be given by Claire Marie Moblard.
Local carillonneur, Moblard studied carillon under John Widmann, Frederick’s City Carillonneur. She is music director/organist at Zion United Church of Christ in Hagerstown and performs organ/trumpet, piano/trumpet and harp/flugelhorn duets with her husband, Dr. Bryron I. Stay.
While the concerts are FREE to the public, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank. Items will be collected at the Drees Homes Information Booth, located at the top of the bandshell steps in Baker Park.
In the event of inclement weather, please tune to 99.9 WFRE, 103.1 WAFY or 106.9 WWEG for news of event cancellation. Due to the travel time and set-up by various artists and the sound production company, decisions regarding weather are made by approximately 4:00 p.m. Therefore, if the weather is inclement at this time listen to the radio for confirmation of the evening’s performance being cancelled.
