NORVA AVENUE RESIDENTS TO EXPERIENCE A TEMPORARY DISRUPTION OF WATER SERVICE
Frederick, MD. -- Residents of Norva Avenue will experience a temporary disruption of water service on Thursday, August 30, 2007 as the City of Frederick Water Department works to replace a fire hydrant and valve in that area. The water will be shut off in order to complete this work. The work will begin at 9:00 a.m. The water should be turned back on approximately six to eight hours later. Upon turning the water back on, you may notice some discolored water. This is normal when the water line has been disturbed for maintenance work. Should you experience discolored water, please open your faucets and let your cold water only run for about 15 – 20 minutes, and it should clear up. Please note that this water is gray water and can be collected and used for outdoor watering of shrubs and gardens.
For additional information, please contact the Department of Public Works at 301.600.1440.
