CODE ENFORCEMENT ANNOUNCES THE ONGOING RESULTS OF OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP

Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Code Enforcement Department has announced the completion of the seventh (7th) “Operation Clean Sweep.” Code Enforcement personnel conducted Operation Clean Sweep in the NAC 12 area on August 10, 2007 converging on areas bordered by Carroll St (east of), East Church St (south east of), and East South St (north of) to the city limit boundary on the east. As a result of the sweep, officers handed out 31 Notices of Violations covering 36 different code violations with breakdown as follows: 19 violations for grass exceeding ten inches; 10 violations for filth and rubbish; 7 violations for unlicensed or inoperable vehicles.
