CITY HIRES TRAFFIC ENGINEER
Frederick, MD --- Mayor William J. Holtzinger is pleased to announce that Ms Devon Hahn has joined the staff of the Engineering Department as City Traffic Engineer for the City of Frederick. Ms Hahn graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She brings a wide range of traffic engineering experience to the City of Frederick. Ms Hahn’s experience includes five years with the Baltimore based firm of Whitman, Requardt & Associates as a traffic engineer, where she served clients such as Delaware Department of Transportation, Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority and Maryland Transit Administration.
As City Traffic Engineer, Ms Hahn will develop the criteria for the City’s Transportation Master Plan, implement the ideas generated from the East Street Corridor Study, and develop plans and implement the traffic portion of the APFO. Ms Hahn will oversee the Safe Routes to School program, review Traffic Impact Studies for new developments as well as provide direction for traffic issues in Capital Improvement Projects. In addition, Ms Hahn will respond to specific citizen concerns regarding traffic issues in the City.
Mayor Holtzinger said, “We are extremely pleased to bring on a candidate with this range and depth of experience in traffic engineering. Having a traffic engineer in-house is critical to improving the quality of life in and around Frederick.”
