EXECUTIVE ORDER FROM GOVERNOR

City Hall Bells to Ring Friday at Noon to Honor Virginia Tech Victims

FREDERICK, MD ---- To honor the victims of the Virginia Tech tragedy, the State of Maryland will join the Commonwealth of Virginia by ringing bells at noon on Friday, April 20, 2007. Governor Martin O’Malley is asking local governments, community groups, businesses and individuals across Maryland to join in the observance.

Mayor William J. Holtzinger said, “In accordance with Governor O’Malley’s request, the bells at City Hall will ring at noon. I ask that the community of the City of Frederick join in this observance to honor the victims of this tragic event and to support the entire Virginia Tech family.”
