BYPASS PIPING WORK CONTINUES ON WEST PATRICK STREET
Frederick, Md. -- Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue with the installation of temporary bypass piping along West Patrick Street between College Avenue and North Jefferson Street. This work will include the connection of water services to the bypass piping (blue piping along street). The bypass piping will provide water service to the properties within the work area. Additionally, a crew will begin breaking out and removing the existing pavement over the water main trench line and start installing the new 16” water main on West Patrick Street. The new piping installation on West Patrick Street will start at College Avenue and progress toward North Jefferson Street. Construction activity will be seen on West Patrick Street, between College Avenue and North Jefferson Street through November 2007.

IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
2. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
3. Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
