BYPASS PIPING WORK CONTINUES ON WEST 13th STREET
Frederick, Md. --- Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will complete the installation of temporary bypass piping along West 13th Street. The bypass piping will provide water service to the properties within the work area. Additionally, the crew will perform a test pit on the existing 16” water main within the intersection of Motter Avenue and 13th Street and start installing the new 8” water main on 13th Street. The new piping installation on 13th Street will start at North Market Street and progress toward Motter Avenue. Construction activity will be seen on West 13th Street, between Motter Avenue and North Market Street through July 2007.

IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on 13th Street between North Market Street and Motter Avenue. The intended detour route during this work will be Frederick Avenue.
3. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
4. Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
