WATER SERVICE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
TO CONTINUE IN DOWNTOWN AREA

Frederick, MD --- Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc will continue water service replacements between Bentz Street and College Avenue. Additionally, a second crew is scheduled for night work at the intersection of College Avenue and West Patrick Street for water main tie-ins. This phase of the work will occur on Monday September 25, 2006 and Tuesday September 26, 2006. Shut down notices will be distributed to those that will be affected. A second crew will be replacing water services. Water main replacement will follow over the next 2 to 3 months. Construction activity will be seen on West Patrick Street, between Bentz St. and College Ave. through November 2006.

We regret any inconvenience that this may cause in your travels and thank you for your cooperation.

IMPACT TO AREA:

Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
