WATER MAIN & SERVICE REPLACEMENT
WORK ON COLLEGE AVENUE
Frederick, MD --- Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue with the installation of the new 16” water main. A portion of the work at the intersection of College Avenue will require a water main shut down and may require night work. Scheduled dates of construction for this phase of the work is Monday, September 18, 2006 through Friday, September 22, 2006. Shut down notices will be distributed to those that will be affected. Water main replacement will follow over the next 3 to 4 months. Construction activity will be seen on West Patrick Street, between Bentz St. and College Ave. through November 2006.

IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
