THE CITY OF FREDERICK PARTNERS WITH SHA TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALK ALONG THE GOLDEN MILE.

Frederick, MD --- Please be advised that The City of Frederick is pleased to announce a partnering with the State Highway Administration (SHA) to design and construct about 4,000 feet of sidewalks along the north side of the Golden Mile. The sidewalks will start at the US 15 Ramps and extend westward to the City limit line on Blentlinger Road. The sidewalks will be ADA (American with Disabilities Act) compliant including handicapped ramps and tactile mats for the legally blind.

Mayor Holtzinger said “We greatly appreciate the State Highway Administration’s willingness to partner with the City of Frederick on this important project.”

The design works will start shortly and the construction will be complete by June of 2007.
