CITY OF FREDERICK MUNICIPAL ANNEX BUILDING TO OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Frederick, MD --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick announces the move of several City departments to the new Municipal Annex Building located at 140 West Patrick Street in the West Patrick Street Parking Deck. The departments to be located in the new facility are the Department of Engineering, Department of Planning, Department of Community Development and Department of Permits and Codes. These departments will be closed on Monday, September 25, 2006 for an in-service day as part of the move to the new Municipal Annex Building. The offices will reopen for business on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the new location. This move will create a “One Stop Shop” by enabling the public to complete related City business in one location.

In addition, beginning September 25, 2006 the following meetings will be held at the new Municipal Annex Building. The Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission and Historic Preservation Commission Workshop, Zoning Board of Appeals and Development Review Conference (DRC), will be held in the Public Hearing Room located on the first floor. Specific dates and times of the meetings will be advertised.

The relocation of these City departments is in an effort to better serve the citizens of the City of Frederick. We regret any inconvenience caused during this transition period and thank you for your patience.
