WATER DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT SCHEDULED FOR OPOSSUMTOWN PIKE FROM FREDERICK COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO POOLE JONES ROAD &
HAYWARD ROAD FROM OPOSSUMTOWN PIKE TO
MORNING DEW LANE
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue installation of the new 12” water main along Opossumtown Pike and progress north toward the intersection of Poole Jones Road. Additionally, work will begin on Hayward Road starting at Opossumtown Pike and progress east.
A lane closure will be in place, as necessary, between Poole Jones Road and the main entrance to Frederick Community College for all southbound traffic on Opossumtown Pike. Additionally, lane closures will be in place, as necessary, between Opossumtown Pike and Morning Dew Lane for all eastbound traffic on Hayward Road. The water main installation will continue on Opossumtown Pike and Hayward Road for approximately 7 months. Construction activity will begin on October 3rd and will be seen on Jefferson Street, between Prospect Blvd. and West Patrick St. through May 2007.

IMPACT TO AREA:
1. Traffic control devices, such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to
one lane (in each direction) during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
