GRAND OPENING OF CARROLL CREEK PARK FEATURES FIREWORKS DISPLAY PORTION OF MARC PARKING LOT CLOSED

Frederick, MD --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick Department of Economic Development will be featuring a fireworks display for the Grand Opening of the Carroll Creek Linear Park on Friday, October 20, 2006 from 8:45 PM to 9:15 PM. During this time, East Street between Patrick Street and East All Saints Street will be closed to all traffic. Rain date for the fireworks display is Friday, October 27, 2006.

In addition, for safety reasons, two-thirds of the MARC parking lot, closest to Carroll Creek, will be closed off to all pedestrians and vehicles beginning at 9:30 PM, Thursday October 19, 2006 until 9:30 PM on Friday, October 20, 2006. You will be able to enter the open one-third of the parking lot through the "exit only" area. Fliers containing this information will be distributed in the MARC parking lot on Friday, October 13, 2006.
