WATER SHUT OFF SET FOR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES ON WEST PATRICK STREET, FROM MARKET STREET TO COURT STREET
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that on Thursday, May 4, 2006, the City of
Frederick Water Department will be replacing a main water line valve on West
Patrick Street. The water will be shut off to residents and businesses on West Patrick
Street, from market Street to Court Street, in order to complete this work. Work is
scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and last for approximately six to eight hours. Upon turning
the water back on, you may notice some discolored water. This is normal when the water
line has been disturbed for maintenance work. Should you experience discolored water,
please open your faucets and let your cold water only run for about 15 – 20 minutes, and
it should clear up. However, please note that this water is gray water and can be collected
and used for outdoor watering of shrubs and gardens.
We apologize for this necessary inconvenience.
