HOLTZINGER APPOINTS TOBIN AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Tobin as Executive Assistant to the Mayor. Tobin brings over 30 years of experience in facility management, operations and construction to the City including a previous role as Facilities Administrator for the City. Since leaving the City in 2002, he has been a successful business owner in Frederick’s Historic District.
Mayor William J. Holtzinger feels that Tobin’s familiarity with City operations and history of positive working relationships with City departments and employees will assist him in successfully serving in his new role. Holtzinger added, “His appointment as Executive Assistant will compliment the excellent economic development, facilities and administrative staff here at the City. We look forward to him coming on board.”
Under the new organization of the City of Frederick the Executive Assistant to the Mayor will oversee the following areas: Department of Economic Development, the Frederick Municipal Airport, the Weinberg Center for the Arts, Inc., Community Outreach, Capitol Improvement Projects, Public Information, Facilities Administration and the Mayor’s administrative staff.
Tobin will officially start as Executive Assistant to the Mayor on Monday, June 12th.
