ROADWORK ON PORTION OF FAIRVIEW AVENUE CONTINUES NEXT WEEK
Frederick, Md. ---Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will be excavating a test pit on the water main to obtain a sample of the existing piping on Fairview Avenue, from Kline Blvd. to mercer Place, during the week of June 12th. This work is currently scheduled for Wednesday June 14, 2006 with a rain date of Thursday June 15, 2006. Water main shut down notices will be issued to each resident within the work area at least one day prior to the test pit excavation. The shut down notices will have the scheduled day for the work along with an alternate date if delayed by inclement weather. Traffic control will include lane/roadway closures and detour operations as necessary.
IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on the street being worked on.
Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
