ANNUAL STREET RESURFACING ON BYTE DRIVE AND BYTE COURT BEGINS NEXT WEEK
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that beginning on Monday, June 5th Byte Drive and Byte Court, from Thomas Johnson Drive to Hayward Road, will be resurfaced as part of the City of Frederick’s annual street resurfacing program. There will be parking restrictions and a flagmen operation but no road closures during this work.
Byte Drive
The contractor will mill off top layer of existing asphalt and then begin base layer repairs. This portion of the operations is expected to last 2-3 days. Once repairs are complete the contractor will repave a wedge down the crown of the street to increase the paving thickness. The street will then be topped with 1 ½ inches of topping asphalt.
Byte Court
This will be a standard mill 1 ½ inches and replace. The operation will last 1-2 days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this street work may have on you. Thank you
for your cooperation!
