MAYOR CALLS FOR CLOSED SESSION TO PRECEDE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor William J. Holtzinger has requested a Closed Session to precede the scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on Wednesday, June 7, at 1:30 p.m. Mayor Holtzinger will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a Closed Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(7) which states that a public body may meet in closed session to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice and Section 10-508(a)(1)(i) which states that a public body may meet in closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction.
The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at 1:30 p.m. and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
