MR. EARL REED APPOINTED
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce that Earl Reed, P.E. has been appointed Director of Public Works for the City of Frederick. Mr. Reed is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. Mr. Reed also brings over thirty years of public works engineering experience to the City with a concentration on traffic and transportation engineering. His experience includes a one-year stint with the City of Frederick Engineering Department as the City’s first traffic engineer. In addition, Mr. Reed has experience with the City of Los Angeles as a traffic engineer, Portland, Oregon as a transportation engineer and the City of West Linn, Oregon as City Engineer/Director of Public Works, where he was in charge of water, sewer and solid waste as well as transportation.

As Director of Public Works, Mr. Reed will oversee the Public Works Department, Planning Department, Department of Engineering and Department of Parks and Recreation.
